Small Group Camps.

We only look after small numbers of athletes on our luxury camps, so it will be a small friendly group, were you will get plenty of one on one attention. Every camp is customized for the individual so please let us know your requirements.

All the small groups camps except the running camps include quality en-suite accommodation, based on two people sharing a double or twin room, good breakfasts, light lunches (usually a large sandwich, yoghurt and fruit) and three course dinners (half bottle of wine with evening meal), 1 massage, nutrition and hydration products while training, entrance to all the sports facilities, expert coaching, sports nutrition assessment, neurophysiology & muscular balance assessment & strength/stretching sessions, transfers to and from Girona airport or train station and all local taxes.

Bookings will be accepted on a first come first served basis, so please send us an email containing your details, planned dates, fitness levels and a phone number and we will get back to you within 24 hours. We will then plan your training camp around what you require. If you would like a general plan we can send one over to you, but in the end the plan for the week is always customised. There will be a maximum of 4 athletes per coach on these small group training camp.

Please note that we run camps all year, so if you need a training vacation at another time of year, or for different dates, please contact us and we will be happy to help. We can run any style of camp at any time during the year, subject to availability, so please let us know your ideal vacation dates.

Cycling Training Camps

27th March - 3rd April, 2017.

8th April - 15th April, 2017.

3rd June - 10th June, 2017. (Chance to do 80km or 125km Sea Otter Europe cycle event)

17th June - 24th June, 2017.

These camps are for those people who want to get their cycling legs going again and be ready for their Summer events.

Bike training sessions will cover cornering, descending, ascending, efficient peddling and maintaining momentum. Nutrition and hydration while racing and training is also covered. We also include neurophysiology sessions. You may ask what are the extra sessions the pros do to improve their performance? One is REST and the others are Neurophysiology training sessions and bike set up. What do we mean by neurophysiology? In endurance sports efficiency and weight are the key elements to a great performance. This means you must perfect your technique and your aerodynamics, when cycling, so you go as fast as possible with less effort. Becoming faster, stronger and more efficient does not necessarily mean you need to build muscle. The main thing is to make the muscle as effective and efficient as possible. Your central nervous system controls how you coordinate a particular movement. So by strengthening these pathways your movements will become more efficient. The exercises are simple but effective and we have seen huge gains even in athletes at the top of their profession. We have over 100 different routes from Hotel Mas Pelegri so the camp can be adjusted as required. We want you to reach your potential.

Possible plan for the week.

Saturday: Arrive at Hotel Mas Pelegri. Welcome. Lunch. Chance to build bikes or be fitted to your rental bike. Bike fit session if required. Then an easy 1 to 2 hour ride. Welcome drink and time to over the planned weeks training. Freshly cook 3 course dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Sunday: Beautiful long ride over Els Angels. 110km. Neuromuscular and balance assessment in the Hotel gym. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Monday: Beautiful loop of the Volcanic national park including the pros favourite test climb of Rocacorba, 101 km.  Rollering session then a chance to relax. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Tuesday: Long beautiful rolling route to the Med at St Marti D'Empuries. 115km. Neurophysiology and conditioning session. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Wednesday: Easier route through the wine and olive oil growing area of the Alt Emporda. 83km. Lunch at Hotel Mas Pelegri. Strength and conditioning training session. Optional massage. Evening out in the historic city of Girona or medieval Besalu.

Thursday: Long ride in the Pyrenees. 125-180km depending on who is on the camp, with a chance to climb up to Valter 2000 or the French border. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Friday: Long ride into the Cap de Creus, this is where the Pyrenees descends into the Med. 150km. Optional massage. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Saturday: Neurophysiology training session in the Hotel gym. Depart Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Beginners Triathlon Camp

26th March - 2nd April, 2017. But only 1 space available for a beginner cyclist.

1st April - 8th April, 2017.

This camp is for people who are new to triathlon. You will have plenty of one on one coaching, with swim video analysis, a gentle approach to open water swimming in one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. You will learn bike handling, cornering, pacing, gearing and descending. There will be help with running form and pace and there will be plenty of time practising transitions between the sports.

Possible plan for the week.

Saturday: Arrive at Hotel Mas Pelegri. Welcome chat. Chance to build bikes or to fit you to your SwiftCarbon rental bike. Bike fit session as required. Then a 1 hour easy ride. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Sunday: 1 hour technique swim in the onsite pool followed by a technique run session working on breathing. Lunch at Hotel Mas Pelegri. Neuromuscular balance assessment. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Monday: Technique bike session. Transition practise with run drills. Optional easy swim. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Tuesday: Technique swim session in the onsite pool. Longer easy bike. Lunch at a local restaurant and then ride back to Hotel Mas Pelegri. Optional massage or rollering session. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Wednesday: Open water swim in the pristine acquifer lake of Banyoles. Run workout by the lake. In the afternoon your have the chance to relax or have an optional massage. Evebing out in the historic city of Girona or medieval Besalu.

Thursday: Technique swim in the onsite 25 metre pool followed by technique bike session and transitional short run. Lunch at Hotel Mas Pelegri. Easy afternoon chance to visit local sites.

Friday: Fun sprint triathlon. Afternoon core strength and balance session with rollering and optional massage. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Saturday: Technique swim or neurophysiology gym session. Depart Hotel Mas Pelegri for your flight home.

Olympic Distance Tri Camps

27th August - 3rd September, 2017. Includes Olympic Distance Triathlon Race Camp and Medieval Festival.

Price is 995 euros. Single supplement is 300 euros. Barcelona airport transfers supplement of 200 euros.

For the first few days you will enjoy triathlon training including riding the great cycle routes of the Girona region, swimming in the lake of Banyoles, swim coaching in the pool and running on the great trails of this region.

Possible plan for the 27th August race camp.

This is a training camp for people who would like to really experience this country and its culture. So you will be visiting the famous medieval festival of Besalu, training in the beautiful Catalan countryside and lastly competing in a local triathlon which is also the Catalan national Olympic distance race. At the famous medieval festival in Besalu all the locals dress up in costume and shows of jousting, flag throwing, music, falconry and artisans carrying on their ancient crafts are performed. At the end of the week you will have the chance to compete in one of the most beautiful Olympic distance races in the world. Drafting in the race is allowed.

Saturday: Transfer from airport to Hotel Mas Pelegri. Welcome drink and chat. Chance to build bikes or time to fit you to your SwiftCarbon rental bike. Bike fit session as required. Then a 1 hour easy ride. Optional swim workout in on site pool. Freshly cooked evening dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Sunday: Technique bike session. Lunch at Hotel Mas Pelegri. Transition practise with run drills and breathing practise. Optional easy technique swim. Freshly cooked evening dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Monday: Technique swim in the onsite 25 metre pool. Easy bike around the Volcanic national park. Lunch at a local restaurant and then ride back to Hotel Mas Pelegri. Optional massage. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Tuesday: Long bike ride through lovely Catalan countryside. On returning to the hotel you will do a short run. Optional massage. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Wednesday: Open water swim in the pristine acquifer fed lake of Banyoles, followed by run workout by the lake and lunch at the lake. Core strength and conditioning session. Evening out in historic Girona or the medieval town of Besalu.

Thursday: Technique swim in the on site 25 metre pool followed by 2 hour bike on the beautiful roads of the Pla D'Estany. Lunch at a local restaurant followed by optional coached one on one swim session. Freshly cooked evening dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Friday: Technique bike session followed by easy short run. Lunch at Hotel Mas Pelegri. Easy afternoon chance to visit local sites or relax by the pool. Massage.

Saturday: Race day. Relaxing morning. Early lunch at Hotel Mas Pelegri. Optional race is in the afternoon starting from the Banyoles lake.

Long Distance Tri Camp

26th March - 2nd April, 2017.

22nd April - 29th April, 2017.

20th May - 27th May, 2017.

These camps are for those triathletes who are preparing themselves for long distance triathlons. The weather and the terrain here makes an excellent training ground, with long rides and runs on quiet interesting routes, plus the Mediterranean and Banyoles Lake for open water swimming. On site at Hotel Mas Pelegri we have our own 25m pool and gym for training.

Training sessions include swim technique and under water video analysis of your stroke. Bike training sessions will cover cornering, descending, ascending, efficient peddling and maintaining momentum. Run sessions will include video analysis, run technique and efficiency for longer runs. Nutrition and hydration while racing and training is also covered and we have a session to practise your transitions. We also include neurophysiology sessions. You may ask what are the extra sessions the pros do to improve their performance? One is REST and the others are Neurophysiology training sessions and bike set up. What do we mean by neurophysiology? Saturday: Arrive at Hotel Mas Pelegri. Welcome. Lunch. Chance to build bikes or be fiited to your SwiftCarbon rental bike. Bike fit session if required. 2 hour coached ride around the rolling countryside. Optional swim workout in on site pool. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Sunday: 1 hour technique swim in the on site 25m pool. Run workout working on breathing directly followed by muscle balance, neurophysiology & core strength & conditioning assessment. Lunch at Hotel Mas Pelegri. 1 hour technique bike, covering power drills, cornering, descending, climbing, pedaling efficiency and maintaining momentum. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Monday: Long ride to St Marti de Empuires and the Med, with a chance for a swim in the Med if youa re in your trisuit. Ride back to the Hotel via a different route and follow directly with a transition run. Optional easy technique swim. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Tuesday: Open water swim in the pristine acquifer fed lake of Banyoles followed directly by 2 hour ride into the Volcanic National Park, with an option to climb Rocacorba (the pros favourite test climb). Lunch at Hotel Mas Pelegri. Neurophysiology training session and tmassage or swim technique workout. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Wednesday: Swim workout in the on site pool followed by a long run around the Lake of Banyoles  Optional afternoon rest or one on one technique swim or Massage. Evening out in the city of Girona.

Thursday: Long ride into the high Pyrenees with option to climb to over 2000 metres at Valter or up to the French border. Return for a transition run followed by a rlax by the pool before enjoying a freshly cooked evening dinner.

Friday: Technique swim workout in the on site pool before a stunning ride over Les Gavarres to the city of Girona. Return to Hotel Mas Pelegri for an optional massage before dinner.

Saturday: Swim workout in the on site pool or a Neurophysiology training session in the gym. Depart Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Open Water Swim Camp
