Possible plan for a Long Distance Cycling Training Camp.

 

Saturday:

  • Arrive at Hotel Mas Pelegri. Welcome. Lunch. Chance to build bikes or be fitted to your rental bike. Bike fit session if required. Then an easy 1 to 2 hour ride. Welcome drink and time to go over the planned weeks training. Freshly cook 3 course dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Sunday:

  • Beautiful long ride over Els Angels. 110km. Neuromuscular and balance assessment in the Hotel gym. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Monday:

  • Beautiful loop of the Volcanic national park including the pros favourite test climb of Rocacorba, 101 km. Rollering session then a chance to relax. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Tuesday:

  • Long beautiful rolling route to the Med at St Marti D'Empuries. 115km. Neurophysiology and conditioning session. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Wednesday:

  • Easier route through the wine and olive oil growing area of the Alt Emporda. 83km. Lunch at Hotel Mas Pelegri. Strength and conditioning training session. Optional massage. Evening out in the historic city of Girona or medieval Besalu.

Thursday:

  • Long ride in the Pyrenees. 125-180km depending on who is on the camp, with a chance to climb up to Valter 2000 or the French border. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Friday:

  • Long ride into the Cap de Creus, this is where the Pyrenees descends into the Med. 150km. Optional massage. Freshly cooked dinner at Hotel Mas Pelegri.

Saturday:

  • Neurophysiology training session in the Hotel gym. Depart Hotel Mas Pelegri.
