
25-metre swimming pool at Hotel Mas Pelegri
We have a 25-metre swimming pool with 3 lanes on the grounds of our bike hotel Mas Pelegri. It can be used for training sessions with additional lanes or for free swimming. In the summer, we can attach a lane rope to separate the lap swimmers from those who want to relax and play in the water (pool toys for all ages available). We also have a small pool for sitting and cooling down after a strenuous ride or for small children in the summer or people (including those with disabilities) who just want to sit in the cool water in the shade of the trees and cool down.
We have a solar pool cover that covers the pool when it is not in use to prevent evaporation. This warms the pool by about 5˚C in winter, but we would still recommend a wetsuit from November to May, depending on the temperature at which you like to swim. The pool is a salt-chlorine pool. We try not to fill the pool, but only allow it to fill naturally with rain. Therefore, the height of the pool can fluctuate, but the important thing is that we are still able to filter the pool properly. The pool is tested daily (twice in the summer months) and the water is regularly analysed in the laboratory to confirm its quality. Please do not pee in the pool as this affects the free chlorine level and combines with the free chlorine to form a chemical that causes sore eyes and dry skin.
The 25-metre pool is 1m at its shallowest and 1.5m at its deepest, so please do not dive. It is deep enough for somersaults, but also shallow enough for small children to learn to swim. We can also put a net in the middle of the pool if you would like to play water volleyball or water badminton. Having a pool this size for a small hotel allows our guests to enjoy the pool. Our 25-metre outdoor pool enables us to offer a range of tailored coaching and training services for swimmers of all abilities. Whether you are looking to refine your technique, improve your endurance, prepare for a swimming competition or triathlon, or learn how to swim for the first time, our experienced coaching team is here to help you achieve your goals. We offer flexible booking options for one hour a day or for 30 minutes in the morning and evening for beginners. Coaching for all ages and abilities.
Our coaches focus on technique, strength and confidence, tailoring each training session to your individual needs by providing one-to-one or small group training. Our programmes are designed to suit swimmers at every stage, from beginners to experienced athletes.
We believe that success in swimming is possible at any level and have helped people from all backgrounds to progress in the water. Whether you are aiming for a personal best or are taking up swimming for the first time, we are here to support you every step of the way.
Want to train with others? We offer training camps in small groups on specific dates throughout the year, where you can meet up with like-minded swimmers in a supportive group. Many of our camps also include yoga sessions to increase flexibility and improve your swimming form.
